STEFFES SPOTLIGHT: Student Job Shadow Opportunities
Travis Pine, a senior at Southwest Community High School, completed a long-term job shadow with Steffes. Pine spent sixty hours shadowing employees in a variety of areas, including our oil accessory manufacturing, contract manufacturing welding, pipe welding, robotic welding, weld inspection, fabrication, new product development welding, paint line, and weld academy.
Pine became interested in job shadowing at Steffes after learning about our welding capabilities. After high school, he is interested in pursuing a career as a welder and potentially working in the oil industry in some capacity. He enjoyed each of the areas he observed during his job shadow, but his favorite was pipe welding.
Travis said he would recommend a Steffes job shadow to other students interested in learning more about careers in manufacturing and that the people he met during his time at Steffes were all very nice. In his free time, he is interested in learning more about technology.
