Steffes is able to provide a world class powder coat finish to your product.

Powder paints are available in a multitude of solid colors, textured surfaces and multicolor patterns. They are also available for uses in areas where ultra violet or sunlight is a concern, as well as for chemical resistance and high temperature areas. 

Powder coating uses a thermo set powder resin to electrostatically apply the powder to metal parts. Curing temperatures ranging from 250 degrees to 400 degrees finish the parts in 10 - 20 minutes. A powder paint finish provides a superior scratch and stain resistant finish.

At Steffes, we utilize a 900' long monorail conveyor system to transport parts ranging in size up to 4' x 6' x 12', through various stages of painting. Starting with our 7 - stage pretreatment washer, the parts are chemically cleaned, continue on to a drying oven, paint spray booths and the final cure oven.

A unique feature to our system is the two paint spray booths we have mounted on a tracking system, giving us the flexibility of changing colors very quickly and efficiently. Our powder coating process takes 2 hours from start to finish.

After this 2 - hour trip, the parts are ready for assembly or can be packaged and shipped. Our powder painting system is capable of providing high quality painted parts in a very efficient and timely manner.
