Design
Our engineers utilize state of the art design tools, but design at Steffes Corporation is not limited to the office. The engineering department is closely tied with our manufacturing facility. This allows engineers to quickly prototype new ideas and to get feedback from customers and manufacturing early on in a product's development.
We constantly strive to keep a balance between looking for a better way to do something and adhering to the schedule that our customer requires. Our engineers have no shortage of new ideas but realize that completing a project on time and within budget is important. This means that our engineering department must be in close communication with the customer during the whole project, ensuring the end product is geared to compete in the world market by taking advantage of manufacturing experience and technological advancements in the industry. These are the kinds of engineers we have here — highly technical people that like to work with people.
Our engineers have experience in the following design disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Tooling, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and more.
All changes to product specification inputs and process changes are tracked through a controlled Engineering Change Request/Notice (ECR/ECN) procedure. In addition, an employee Quality Cost Improvement (QCI) Program is used to encourage cost reduction, quality improvement and safety suggestions from all employees.
Steffes Corporation is ISO9001 Compliant.
