Prototyping
Steffes Engineers are well known for developing prototypes from ideas and concepts, within short periods of time. Our manufacturing facility provides lasering, stamping, bending, machining, sawing and assembly of all types of products. Our in-house Tool and Die department is also able to design and build inexpensive tools to prove out concepts. Our quick turn prototyping allows our customers to evaluate their product ideas in a very short time and helps them introduce a customer ready product very quickly.
Prototyping is an important part of the design process, and we are known for producing products that meet tight development schedules.
Our ability to fabricate parts directly from computer models and our experience in a variety of design disciplines has made us the company of choice when prototypes are required.
All changes to product specification inputs and process changes are tracked through a controlled Engineering Change Request/Notice (ECR/ECN) procedure. In addition, an employee Quality Cost Improvement (QCI) Program is used to encourage cost reduction, quality improvement and safety suggestions from all employees.
