Lasering
Manufacturing capabilities of Steffes Corporation have become technologically advanced over the years which can be demonstrated by the implementation of the use of laser technology in our facility. Laser cutting of material assures you will get very accurate parts from small run sizes to very large orders. Our Strippit Turret Laser not only allows for precise cutting of parts but also has a 30-ton punch turret with 33 stations, giving us capabilities to laser and punch all in one operation.
Prima Domino 5 Axis Laser
One of our latest pieces of equipment is the Prima Domino 5 axis laser. This new laser gives us the flexibility of lasering both flat sheet stock as well as doing complex 5 axis laser cutting for tubes and other formed parts. With the 3500 watt capacity of this laser, we are able to cut steel sheet stock up to ¾" thick, stainless steel up to ½" thick and aluminum up to 3/16" thick. The rotary chuck can receive up to a 4" diameter passthrough, and manually we can accommodate up to a 10" diameter tube. Another nice feature is the sheet stacker and material handling equipment that enables us to program this machine to run several jobs while minimizing downtime. The addition of this new laser is an example of Steffes Corporation's ongoing "Commitment to Innovation."
