Steffes Participates in Manufacturing Day 2017

Steffes is excited to be participating in Dickinson’s Manufacturing Day 2017 on October 4th at the Biesiot Activities Center. There is a morning session from 9 a.m. -11 a.m. and an afternoon session from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. This year’s theme is “Opening Doors and Minds.” Students will be able to participate in hands-on activities that further help them understand the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing day is a nation wide event that introduces students to the wide variety of career opportunities in the manufacturing field in their local communities. From welding and engineering to marketing and accounting, there are endless possibilities for students to enter the manufacturing industry in their future careers.

Other local manufacturers that will be participating in Dickinson’s Manufacturing Day include Baker Boy, TMI, Fisher Industries, and KMM. As presenters, our goal is to talk to students about the different jobs available within a manufacturing company, teach them about the company and the products that we manufacture right here in Dickinson, and educate them about what working in the manufacturing industry is like. 

Steffes looks forward to “Opening Doors and Minds” for Southwest North Dakota students to the opportunities in the manufacturing industry!
