STEFFES SPOTLIGHT: A Year of Giving Back

For our Steffes Spotlight this month we are taking a look at the last year of giving back. At Steffes, we believe its important to give back to our communities. Our employees have gone above and beyond this year. Thank you Team Steffes!

Special Olympics

  • Our GFW team designed and manufactured a set of soccer goals to be used in Special Olympics ND state soccer tournament.
  • Our VP of Manufacturing Excellence, Stephen Dusold, competed in Special Olympics ND’s largest annual fundraiser “Dancing for Special Stars”. We raised a total of $9,141!
  • Our Care Team held a Christmas bake sale and donated the proceeds to Special Olympics ND. President Kathleen Megher, Director of Development Jena Pierce, and 7 sport Special Olympian Erin visited our GFE facility to accept the donation.
  • 6 of our Grand Forks employees participated in the Polar Plunge.

DVRCC

During the holidays, our Dickinson team set up angel trees at our facility with items on them that the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center said are often needed by people who come to them for help. Employees brought in items and donated them to the DVRCC for people in need.

ABATE Toy Drive

Dickinson employees held a toy drive in partnership with ABATE (American Bikers Aiming Toward Education). The toys are collected and distributed to children in need throughout southwest North Dakota during the holidays.

Blood Drives

We regularly host blood drives at our facilities. This year we set a record for new donors and as a result, saved more than 156 lives!

Food Donation

Our Dickinson team donated turkey or ham vouchers to the DVRCC and Angel 37 over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Intern Volunteer Day

Every year at the end of our summer internship program, we have a week of events. One of those events includes our interns volunteering for a morning at a local nonprofit. This year our interns spent the morning cleaning and organizing House of Manna in Dickinson. House of Manna is a local resource for people in need.
