Paul Steffes, CEO/Chairman, transition to new role as Founder and Innovation Advisor

DICKINSON, North Dakota – Steffes, LLC announced Paul Steffes, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for the family-owned business, will transition into a new role within the company as Founder and Innovation Advisor.

More than 50 years ago, Paul Steffes took a corner shop in Dickinson, North Dakota to launch a metal fabrication business and transformed it into the multifaceted and diverse company it is today.  His innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit have helped drive success, benefiting many people and communities across a wide range of industries.

“I am excited for this new chapter in my life and to assume the role of Founder and Innovation Advisor,” said Steffes. “This will give me more flexibility in my personal schedule and will allow me to do what I do best as Innovation Advisor. I have full trust in our new leaders and their commitment to lead by our core values for many future generations to come.”

This announcement marks the successful completion of a multi-year transition plan.  Paul has worked closely with the Board of Directors to select a new Chairman, John Suzukida, who has been the Lead Independent Director of the Steffes Board of Governors for the past 10 years.

The leadership of the day-to-day operations will transition to Co-Presidents Todd Mayer and Paul Eidenschink.  Mayer has been with Steffes for 23 years and has held positions as Chief Product Officer, Vice President of Engineering, and Director of Oil and Gas Products.  He has more than 30 years of leadership experience including engineering roles at General Motors.  Eidenschink has been with Steffes since 2012 and has held roles as Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Manufacturing and has more than 30 years of manufacturing leadership experience including Engineering and Operations Management roles with ProBuild Corporation.

This leadership transition will take effect on January 1st, 2021.
