Steffes Spotlight: Jeff Skadeland

Jeff Skadeland is a Design Engineer who works in the New Product Development Engineering team at Steffes. In his role, he helps design and manufacture Production Equipment Skids for customers in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Jeff graduated from the University of Mary with a degree in Business Administration and from University of North Dakota with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has been at Steffes for a little over three and half years, first starting as Product Engineer. Jeff initially decided to join Steffes because “it’s a reputable company in the community and it was a good opportunity available.”

Since Jeff first started, he has been doing more project management. His most current project was a multi-skid project for an operator in New Mexico. It involved managing and help designing 4 different skids and 3 different vessels. In total 6 Separators, 2 Treaters, and 3 separate vessels went down to New Mexico As the lead, Jeff was able to pull the company together to build the piece of equipment for the operator. When Jeff was asked what he is most excited about working at Steffes in the future he said, “We are continually adapting into other oil field plays around the country. I enjoy seeing the growth in our group because of this.”

Jeff appreciates Steffes’ priority on a work and life balance, it is important to him. During his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, and exercising.
