Team Steffes attends 2023 Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Expo

Several members of the Steffes Electric Thermal Storage (ETS) attended the 2023 Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration (AHR) Expo in Atlanta in February.

The AHR Expo is an annual event, providing HVACR professionals – including manufacturers and suppliers – the opportunity to share ideas and showcase their products, services, and technologies related to the HVACR industry.

While there, Steffes displayed several innovative ETS products, including the room unit heater and Serenity forced-air furnace. Also featured was the newest ETS product in development – Origin by Steffes – an all-electric central heat pump water heating system designed to provide hot water to multi-family residential units using energy-efficient technology and equipment.

“Because it is the largest HVAC meeting in the country, we were able to visit with competitors, suppliers, and customers all in the same venue,” said Al Takle, Steffes ETS business unit leader. “We generated interest and excitement about our products and shared enthusiasm for how our technology will benefit electrification efforts across the country.”

Because the AHR Expo is held concurrently with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) winter conference, our team of professionals were also able to attend educational and informational sessions to discuss ETS.

ASHRAE is an American professional association seeking to advance heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems design and construction.

“There were several seminars based around ETS,” said Takle, “most of which addressed the cooling aspect of the technology. We were the only vendor present representing the heating side of ETS and found there is much interest surrounding our application and products, especially as they support beneficial electrification and decarbonization efforts.”

The growing interest and excitement surrounding Steffes ETS is electrifying!
