STEFFES IN SHELBY

Steffes is a lean-operating, original equipment manufacturer headquartered in Dickinson, North Dakota. Having established several manufacturing and customer support facilities across the United States, we are excited about opening our newest facility in the community of Shelby, North Carolina.

This $20.9 million investment in Cleveland County will create 130 new, full-time jobs over the next five years. Start of production is expected to begin in 2022 with plans to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2023.

At Steffes, we specialize in steel fabrication and electrical services for a variety of diverse industries, including oil and gas, contract manufacturing and electric thermal storage. With a creative team of experienced engineers and manufacturing experts, our ability to innovate and solve complex issues is unmatched in the manufacturing industry.

Our Shelby facility will support our growing efforts to provide advanced comprehensive metal fabrication services to support production of OEM products and customer production in the region.

We had roughly 120 students stop by and visit us at Cleveland Community College's (CCC) Career Day. These students, some of whom are already enrolled in CCC's welding program, are all interested in a welding career and were excited to hear about future opportunities at Steffes!

Cleveland Community College welcomed us into the community almost immediately! Since we announced our expansion into the Southeast, we have been collaborating to discuss training and other opportunities for welders and other manufacturing production roles.
