Steffes Connect delivers IOT functionality and visibility of your Steffes heating system  

Steffes Connect empowers you, the homeowner, with remote control and visibility of your Steffes heating system from anywhere, at any time with this new web-based application for the Steffes Transceiver. Steffes Connect delivers Internet of Things (IOT) functionality to every new transceiver installed with a new or existing Steffes heating system. It can also be used on additional electric devices, such as water heaters or other electric heating devices in the home.

Steffes Connect allows homeowners to:
  • Control from anywhere using a web-connected device
  • Check indoor temperature*
  • Room Unit temperature setback
  • Check site outdoor temperature*1
  • Check rate status (peak, off-peak, shoulder)
  • Rate schedule is stored locally and maintained even if web connection is lost

Steffes Transceiver 

The Steffes Transceiver is a control device used to manage Steffes heating systems and other electric loads. The Transceivers use a communication protocol called Power Line Carrier (PLC) which operates at very low radio frequencies to transmit information over electric power transmission lines. Information is transmitted via PLC from the control device (Transceiver) to all listening devices (heaters), allowing them to take advantage of electric utilities’ low-cost off-peak rate programs.

  • Use for control of many electrical devices: Steffes heating systems, water heaters, electric baseboards, electric furnaces, ceiling and floor heat, and other electric devices
  • 2-pole or 5-pole configurations (each pole providing a single 30 AMP DC held, board mounted relays)
  • 15 selectable channels for PLC communication 
  • 1-hour peak override option (with single button or zonal control accessory module)
  • Metal enclosure with power company seal/lockout provision
  • Optional factory pre-wired umbilical cord in rain tight conduit configuration
  • 120V or 208V/240V, 1 phase or 3 phase configurations
